Kaiden Can Dance

I was feeding Kaiden dinner tonight and while trying to get him to open his mouth (because he can be stubborn sometimes) I was chanting "Go Kaiden, Go Kaiden" and well the little cutie started shaking his booty in the high chair. So after he was done eating I wanted to see if he would do it again and well this is the result. Enjoy the video, I am still laughing at it!

Kaiden Pulls Up!!

My baby boy is growing up!! Some time last week, we put Kaiden down for a nap in his crib and when Taylor heard him making noises she went to check on him and came running out of his room saying that he had pulled up. Me being the skeptic that I am, didn't believe her and thought that she had stood him up when she saw that he was awake. So later that day we set up the video camera in his room and let him play in his crib. He played in his crib for almost 45 minutes with no attempt to pull up. So needless to say I am really not believing Taylor now. So a couple of days later when I was home with the kids I put Kaiden in his crib to play while I did some cleaning and I set the video camera up just in case. Well I heard a happy squeal from his room like 5 minutes after I left and went running and he was standing in his crib. I was so excited as you can hear on the video and of course Taylor made me apologize to her for not believing her the first time. So my little boy is growing up and soon he will be crawling and walking all over the place. It seems like Kaiden was born just yesterday and now he is pulling up and rolling all over the place. Time sure flies when you're having fun!!

Kaiden is 6 months old!!

Kaiden went for his 6 month check up today!! I can’t believe he is 6 months old already. He weighed in at 17lbs 10oz and 25 ¼ in long. He is in the 51^st percentile for his weight and unfortunately only the 11^th percentile for his height. I guess I just have to face the fact that because Matt and I are short, our children will be as well. He is growing and developing right on track and we can’t wait until he figures out this whole crawling thing!! Look out world another Griffith will be Mobile soon.

A zoofull of fun!!

To celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, Matt and I took the kids to the Jacksonville zoo. It was a really hot day but the kids had a lot of fun. We saw all kinds of animals and Rianna knew what the Tapir and the Capybara was without being told (Thanks Diego). Rianna's favorite parts of the zoo were the giraffes and the stingrays. Taylor really enjoyed the stingrays as well. My favorite part was watching Rianna's face light up when she saw a neat animal and that Kaiden was an angel and didn't fuss at all.

Kaiden Sitting up

Kaiden started sitting up a little over a week ago and at first he only sat up for a minute or two before toppling over but now he can sit up for like half an hour. He loves sitting up and playing with his toes. Kaiden is such a big boy, I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Another Year older!!

Well I turned another year older on Saturday and however many of you know that my day was not the best day, I was able to salvage it at the end and had a pretty good time at my party. We just did a small family BBQ at my parents house and enjoyed each others company and watching the kids run around. Thank you everyone for a nice evening, especially my hunny Matthew who cooked an amazing dinner.

Weekend in Orlando!

We took a mini vacation down to Orlando this past weekend to meet up with some of Matt's family from New York. His Aunt Teewana and her boyfriend, Bucky had come down for a wedding. They had never seen Rianna or Kaiden, so it was a very nice visit. Everyone we met up with wanted to take Kaiden home with them, he was such a good boy! We stayed in a very nice resort, with lots of ammenities, the only catch was that it rained all weekend. The kids got to swim a total of 10min before the lightening and thunder came back. So then they filled up the jacuzzi and splashed around in there with bubbles. They had a good time. We didn't plan to go to any theme parks, and boy am I glad we didn't because of the rain.

Visit from an old friend!

One of my very good friends from High School, Amber, came by today to visit. She just had a son, Elias who is about 2 months younger than Kaiden. Elias slept most of the time but it was really nice to see Amber and little Elias. Hopefully we will be able to get together again soon next time she comes up from Fort Lauderdale so that the kids can really play.

Let's Play Ball!!!

Taylor had her first softball game last night and she sure made her parents PROUD!!!! Taylor went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs at the plate. She played 3rd base most of the game and was ready for every play, she played catcher for the last inning and was dynamite, by far the best catcher on the team. And regardless of how much I think she is an asset in the field, she is also an asset behind the plate. (just not a big fan of catching, been there done that). Most of the girls on the team have never played any kind of ball before, but they actually played pretty well. Most of the errors were because the head coach never really taught them what to do in a game situation, he now knows what he needs to go over at the next practice. By my surprise my niece Elora went 3 for 4 and played amazing in the field and she is one who had never played before. It must be in the genes!!! Oh and the best part, Taylor is #3, Her Mommy's number!!! I can't wait till their next game on Saturday, I know they can beat that team this time!!! GO VIPERS!!

I only ended up getting pics of her in the field. While she was hitting, I was too busy screaming and cutting my hand on the fence because I was so excited!!!

Happy Easter!!!!!

Mommy had to work but the kids had a nice Easter morning with Daddy. The Easter bunny left the kiddos nice Easter baskets. They all loved what they got. Daddy called Mommy at work so that she could share in the surprise while they discovered their baskets.

What a day at the Griffith House!!!!

KAIDEN ROLLED OVER!!!!! Yes it is true, Kaiden rolled over today. I had put him down in his crib for a nap and came back later to check on him and he was awake on his back, just as happy as a lark. (Yes he is a tummy sleeper like the rest of my babies) I later put him on his belly on his play mat to see if he could do it again and he preceded to roll over several more times and we were able to catch it on film. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.



THIS JUST IN, RIANNA HAS POOPED IN THE POTTY!! I can not believe that on the same night Kaiden starts rolling over that Rianna goes poop in the potty. She took off all of her clothes and went potty all by herself. She was so proud of herself that she jumped up and down singing the Dora the Explorer song. And she got a Popsicle from her daddy, just like she was promised as well as high fives and hugs. We are all so proud of her accomplishment.

Kaiden had his 4 month check up this morning! He weighs a whopping 15lbs 15oz and is 24 1/2 in. long. What a short little chunker. He is in the 69th percentile for his weight and the 32nd percentile for his height. What can you say though, he does have short parents!!

Kaiden eats cereal!

Kaiden turned 4 months old yesterday so we decided to try to feed him rice cereal for the first time. You would have thought he had been eating solids since birth. He was a natural. He seemed like he was telling us "about time you decided to feed me something more than milk!"

Lunch with Friends

Rianna, Kaiden & I had a really nice time at lunch today with some of our buddies. Lindsay brought little Connor and Cristi brought Bryce. It was cute watching Bryce and Rianna play together.

Taylor's new DO!!!

So I finally got around to straightening Taylor's hair with the flat iron I bought 2 weeks ago. AND..... it was a success!! Her hair is absolutely gorgeous and it didn't even take me long to do, maybe an hour. Now we are just debating on if we should cut it a little or not. I guess we will see. I am also curious to know how long it will hold up.

Meet the Griffith Family

Well I finally decided that I would start blogging so that I can keep everyone up to date on our busy family of 5.

The kids are doing fantabulous!! Taylor is working hard in 3rd grade, getting ready to face the dreaded FCAT next month. She is also playing softball this year, which she is very excited about. My sister Carrie is her coach and she is on the team with her cousins Mara and Elora. Rianna is her rambunctious crazy self. She is 27months old but acts like she is at least 4. She is just too smart for her own good. Kaiden is wonderful, I couldn't ask for a better baby. He is 3 months old now and is growing like a weed. He is chunking up quite nicely and is almost eatin size. YUMMY! He is really starting laugh quite a bit, and he loves to smile!
